The origin of the name Eleazer (el ee AY zar) is Hebrew for "God is my help."1 He was born circa 1786 at New Hampshire. He was the son of Unknown Jordan. He married Hannah Unknown circa 1825. He and Hannah Unknown appeared on the census of 1830 at Hadley, Saratoga County, New York, with three additional persons in the household.
