"We were inexpressibly grieved to hear of the death of a life long friend. Mrs. Lillian Raycraft of Alma, Mich. Mrs, Raycraft, whose maiden name was Lillian Delong, together with her sister Emogene went west many years ago to teach school. Emogene married and settled in San Jose, Calif., while Lillian married the late Ely Raycraft of Alma, Mich. After the death of her husband, her youngest son John took over home and cared for the mother in her declining years. Whenever Mrs. Raycraft came east she loved to visit old-time friends and the scenes of her childhood. After old age and ill health prevented so long a journey she often, when writing friends, expressed the wish that she could once more visit the old home town. Another Christian lady at rest with the God whom she served long and well." on 10 February 1938 at Au Sable Forks, Clinton County, New York.4
